Free Weights

Free weights include any weight you can pick up and move around, such as dumbbells, barbells, and kettlebells. Unlike machines, where the movement and the user are fixed, free weights allow for work outs in any range of motion required.

 

Using free weights is a great alternative to machines for building strength and fitness. Lifting weights increase muscle size, strength, power, and endurance. It also burns calories and increases bone density.
